I don't really feel qualified to do this. I am not a theologian. I don't have the answers. I am inconsistent in almost everything. I fall so far short of the goal, it's embarrassing.
But, I am consistently amazed that God cares for me. That He cares so much for small, insignificant me that he keeps a record of every tear I have shed across the span of my tiny life. He sees me in my struggle, in my sinfulness, in moments of pain and glimpses of joy. He know my weak and feeble frame...that I am but dust.
This past year, I felt prompted to reach out to those around me who struggle too. There are so many who are worn down by the cares of this life, who just need to know that someone understands. They need to know that He cares about them and loves them. They need to know that He knows them, has known them since the beginning of time, before anything existed.
He loves us so deeply He willingly became like us and endured a horrific, sacrificial death on the cross on our behalf. He paid the penalty for our sinfulness. He took our punishment.
Psalm 56:8 You number my wanderings;Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?
Psalm 103:14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.
1 Peter 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
